Is the docker daemon running?\nerrors pretty printing info\n```\n`docker --version` and `docker info`'s Client section both succeed (the CLI binary works standalone, no daemon needed); only commands that need the daemon (`info`'s Server section, `ps`, `pull`, `build`, `run`) fail.\n\n## Fix\nThe message asks a question (\"Is the docker daemon running?\") rather than naming an action, and the fix is platform-specific and not in the error text at all: on macOS/Windows with Docker Desktop, start Docker Desktop (e.g. `open -a Docker`, then wait for the daemon socket); on Linux, `sudo systemctl start docker`.
