# Cloudflare: create/renew an Origin CA certificate — SSL/TLS → Origin Server → Origin Certificates → Create Certificate ## Steps 1. In the Cloudflare dashboard, go to the **Origin Server** page. 2. On the **Origin Certificates** tab, select **Create Certificate**. 3. Choose the key format/type offered. 4. List the hostnames (including wildcards) the certificate should cover (the zone apex and first-level wildcard are included by default). 5. Generate the certificate, then upload it (and the Cloudflare CA root certificate, if required) to the origin web server and update its configuration to use it. ## End state A new Origin CA certificate is issued and, once installed on the origin, encrypts the connection between Cloudflare and that origin server. Renewing before expiry follows the same **Create Certificate** flow for a fresh certificate. Source: vendor documentation dated 2026-08-14, fetched 2026-10-29; not observed in a live UI.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
