# Cloudflare: add an Access policy to an application — Zero Trust → Access controls → Applications → app → Configure → Policies

## Steps
1. (Optional, to make a reusable policy first) In the Cloudflare dashboard, go to **Zero Trust** > **Access controls** > **Policies**, select **Add a policy**, name it, choose an **Action**, a session duration, and rules, then **Save**.
2. Go to **Zero Trust** > **Access controls** > **Applications**.
3. Locate the application and select **Configure**.
4. Go to the **Policies** tab.
5. Under **Access policies**, add an existing policy or create a new one inline.

## End state
The application now enforces that policy: Access applications are deny-by-default, so a user must match an Allow policy on the application to be granted access. Policies are reusable across multiple applications.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
