# Cloudflare: purge cache by URL — Caching → Configuration → Purge Cache → Custom Purge → URL

## Steps
1. In the Cloudflare dashboard, go to the zone's **Configuration** page (under Caching).
2. Under **Purge Cache**, select **Custom Purge**. The Custom Purge window appears.
3. Under **Purge by**, select **URL**.
4. Enter the URL(s) to purge in the text field (host is case-insensitive and normalized to lowercase; the path is case-sensitive).

## End state
The listed URL(s) are evicted from Cloudflare's cache; the next request for them is served fresh from origin and re-cached per the applicable cache rules. Custom cache keys or Cache Rules matching on request properties can make a single-file purge insufficient — see the page's Limitations section.
