# Stripe: apply a coupon to an existing subscription — Subscriptions page → subscription → Actions → Update subscription → Add coupon

## Steps
1. In the Dashboard, open the **Subscriptions** page.
2. Click the subscription to discount.
3. Click **Actions**.
4. Click **Update subscription**.
5. Click **Add coupon**.
6. Select one or more coupons from the dropdown menu(s) and click **Submit**.

## End state
The selected coupon(s) are attached to the subscription as a discount; subsequent invoices for that subscription reflect the reduced amount.
