# Atlassian Administration: create a group — Directory → Groups → Create group

## Steps
1. Log in to admin.atlassian.com and select the organization.
2. In the left sidebar, select "Directory" → "Groups".
3. Select "Create group".
4. Enter the group's name, add members, and enter an optional description.
5. Select "Create".

## End state
After creation, the page redirects to the group's profile, where "Grant access" can be used to give the group access to a specific app (Jira, Confluence, etc.); the group also appears in the Groups list.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
