# Atlassian Administration: set up SAML single sign-on with an identity provider — Security → User security → Identity providers → Directory → Set up SAML single sign-on

## Steps
1. Go to Atlassian Administration and select the organization.
2. Select "Security", then "User security", then "Identity providers".
3. Select the "Directory" for the identity provider.
4. Select "Set up SAML single sign-on".
5. Enter the IdP's SSO URL, Entity ID, and upload its public certificate (or follow the provider-specific wizard, e.g. for Okta or AD FS).
6. If provisioning users via SAML Just-In-Time, select the domains to link to the Directory.
7. Save the SAML configuration.

## End state
The Directory shows SAML single sign-on as configured; users in the linked domain(s) authenticate through the identity provider instead of an Atlassian password.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
