# Jira: create a project — Projects → View all projects → Create project

## Steps
1. From the top navigation bar, click "Projects" and select "View all projects".
2. Click "Create project" (top right).
3. Choose a template category (Scrum, Kanban, Bug tracking, etc.).
4. Choose between a "company-managed" or "team-managed" project.
5. Enter the project name; Jira suggests a project "Key" used as the issue-ID prefix (editable).
6. Set the access level: "Private", "Limited", or "Open".
7. Click "Create".

## End state
The new project opens with a default board, backlog, and issue types already configured; it is listed under "View all projects" with its key and access level.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
