# Stripe: find a customer by email — Dashboard search bar → email: filter ## Steps 1. In the Dashboard, click into the search bar at the top of any page. 2. Type the customer's email address, or scope it with the filter `email:` followed by the address (for example `email:jenny.rosen@example.com`). 3. Press **Enter**, or click **View all results** to see every match. 4. In the **Customers** result group, click **View all** for an expanded list with sortable column headings, or click a result to open that customer directly. ## End state The customer's record opens (or appears in a filtered, sortable results list) with their payments, subscriptions, and details. Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
