# Figma: enable two-factor authentication on an account — account menu → Settings → Security → Enable two-factor authentication

## Steps
1. From the file browser, click the account name/menu in the top-left corner and select "Settings".
2. Open the "Security" tab.
3. Click "Enable two-factor authentication".
4. Scan the shown QR code with an authenticator app (or enter the setup key manually) and enter the generated code to confirm.
5. Save the recovery codes shown.

## End state
The Security tab shows two-factor authentication as enabled for the account; subsequent sign-ins require the password plus a current code.

## Note
There is no organization-wide setting to require 2FA for every member — each member enables it individually in their own account Settings. Figma Enterprise customers with the Governance+ add-on can instead enforce 2FA at the team or organization level.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
