# Sentry: create a personal auth token — Settings → Account → API → Auth Tokens → Create New Token

## Steps
1. In Sentry, go to "Settings" → "Account" → "API" → "Auth Tokens" (directly at sentry.io/settings/account/api/auth-tokens).
2. Click "Create New Token".
3. Enter a name for the token.
4. Select the scopes it needs.
5. Click "Create Token".
6. Copy the token value immediately — it is shown only once.

## End state
The token appears in the Auth Tokens list by name and scope; it authenticates API requests as the creating user and can be revoked from the same list.

## Note
A separate, organization-scoped token can instead be generated via "Settings" → "Custom Integrations" → "Create New Integration" (Internal Integration); that token is tied to the integration rather than to a personal account.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
