# Datadog: create a log pipeline — Logs → Configuration → Pipelines → New Pipeline

## Steps
1. In the Datadog app, go to "Logs" → "Configuration" → "Pipelines".
2. Click "New Pipeline".
3. Select a log from the live tail preview to derive a filter, or enter a filter query manually.
4. Name the pipeline.
5. Optionally add a description and tags (tags don't affect log processing but help filter the Pipelines page).
6. Click "Create".
7. On the new pipeline, click "Add Processor" (or "Add Nested Pipeline") to attach parsing/enrichment steps.

## End state
The pipeline appears in the Pipelines list with its filter query and processor count; matching incoming logs are routed through it and transformed by its processors before indexing.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
