# Twilio Console: regenerate the Auth Token — Admin → Account management → API keys & tokens → Request a secondary token → Promote to Primary

## Steps
1. In the Twilio Console, click the "Admin" dropdown and select "Account management", then open "API keys & tokens".
2. From the top right, select the Region to change the token for, if applicable.
3. Scroll to the "Auth Tokens" section and click "Request a secondary token".
4. In the confirmation dialog, click "Request Token".
5. Click the eye icon to reveal the new secondary token, and update all applications to use it.
6. Once every application is confirmed updated, click "Promote to Primary".

## End state
The new token becomes the primary Auth Token and the old primary is invalidated immediately; any application still using the old token starts failing authentication at that moment, so step 5 must complete first everywhere.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
