# Twilio Console: configure a webhook for incoming SMS — Numbers & senders → number → Configuration Details → A Message Comes In

## Steps
1. In the Twilio Console, go to "Communications" → "Numbers & senders" → "Overview" (or "Active numbers") and select the phone number.
2. Open the "Configuration Details" tab.
3. In the "Messaging" section, click "Edit details" (or the pencil icon).
4. Under "Configure with", choose "Webhooks, TwiML Bins, Functions, Studio, or Proxy".
5. For "A message comes in", select "Webhook".
6. Enter the endpoint URL and choose the HTTP method ("HTTP POST" is the default).
7. Click "Save".

## End state
The number's Configuration Details page shows the configured URL under "A message comes in"; incoming SMS/MMS to that number now POSTs the message payload (From, To, Body, etc.) to that URL.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
