# Shopify admin: create a shipping zone and rate — Settings → Shipping and delivery → shipping profile → Add zone

## Steps
1. In the Shopify admin, go to "Settings" → "Shipping and delivery".
2. In the "Shipping profiles" section, click the profile to add rates to (e.g. "General shipping profile").
3. In the "Shipping zones" section, click "Add zone".
4. In "Zone name", enter a name for the zone.
5. Select the countries/regions the zone covers.
6. Click "Done".
7. Under the new zone, add rates (flat rate, weight-based, or price-based) and their amounts, then click "Save".

## End state
The zone appears under the shipping profile with its countries and rates listed; matching checkout addresses are offered those shipping rates.
