# Salesforce Setup: create a public group — Quick Find → Public Groups → New

## Steps
1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter "Public Groups" and select "Public Groups".
2. Click "New".
3. Enter a "Label" (the Group Name auto-generates from it).
4. From the "Available Members" list, select the users, roles, or other groups to add, then click "Add" to move them into "Selected Members".
5. Click "Save".

## End state
The group appears in the Public Groups list with its member count; it becomes selectable wherever group-based sharing or visibility is configured (sharing rules, report/dashboard folders, list view visibility).
