# Salesforce Setup: create a permission set — Quick Find → Permission Sets → New

## Steps
1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter "Permission Sets" and select "Permission Sets".
2. Click "New".
3. Enter a "Label" (the API Name auto-fills from it) and an optional description.
4. For "User License", select "—None—" to make the set usable across many license types, or pick a specific license.
5. Click "Save".
6. On the permission set's overview page, click into a category (App Permissions, Object Settings, System Permissions, etc.) and enable the needed permissions, then "Save".

## End state
The permission set appears in the Permission Sets list; it can then be assigned to users via its "Manage Assignments" button, granting exactly the enabled permissions without changing their profile.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
