# HubSpot: create a webhook subscription in a private app — Private app → Webhooks → Edit webhooks → Create subscription

## Steps
1. Open Settings → Integrations → Private Apps and select the app.
2. Click the "Webhooks" tab, then click "Edit webhooks".
3. Under "Target URL", enter the URL HubSpot will POST events to.
4. Click "Create subscription".
5. In the right-hand panel, select the object type(s) to subscribe to (contact, deal, etc.).
6. Select the specific event(s) that trigger the webhook (created, merged, deleted, property changed, etc.).
7. Save, then toggle the subscription on from the Webhooks tab.

## End state
The subscription appears listed under the Webhooks tab with its object/event combination and an "Active" toggle; matching events POST a signed payload to the target URL.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
