# HubSpot: create a workflow from scratch — Automation → Workflows → Create workflow → From scratch

## Steps
1. In the top navigation bar, go to "Automation" → "Workflows".
2. Click "Create workflow" in the top right.
3. Choose how to build it: "Start from scratch", from a template, or with AI; select "From scratch" and choose the object type the workflow enrolls.
4. In the workflow editor, click the trigger icon to add an enrollment trigger, configure its criteria, and set re-enrollment/unenrollment options.
5. Click the "+" icon to add one or more actions.
6. Click "Review" (or the settings tab) to configure workflow settings, then toggle it on and click "Publish" (wording varies: "Turn on" / "Review and publish").

## End state
The workflow appears in the Workflows list with status "Active"; records matching the enrollment trigger begin enrolling and the actions run in order.
