# Microsoft Entra admin center: assign users or a group to an enterprise application — Enterprise apps → app → Users and groups → Add user/group

## Steps
1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as at least a Cloud Application Administrator.
2. Browse to Entra ID → Enterprise apps → All applications.
3. Enter the application's name in the search box and select it from the results.
4. Select "Users and groups", then "Add user/group".
5. On the "Add Assignment" pane, select "None Selected" under "Users and groups".
6. Search for and select the user or group, then select "Select".
7. Under "Select a role", choose the role to assign (default is "Default Access" if no app roles are defined).
8. Select "Assign".

## End state
The user or group appears in the app's "Users and groups" list with the assigned role; members can now access the app if it enforces assignment.
