# Microsoft Entra admin center: register an application — Entra ID → App registrations → New registration

## Steps
1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center (entra.microsoft.com) as at least an Application Developer.
2. If you have access to multiple tenants, use the Settings icon in the top menu to switch to the target tenant.
3. Browse to Entra ID → App registrations.
4. Select "New registration".
5. Enter a Name for the app.
6. Under "Supported account types", choose who can use the application.
7. Leave "Redirect URI (optional)" blank for now (configured separately under Authentication).
8. Select "Register".

## End state
The app's "Overview" page opens, showing its generated "Application (client) ID" and "Directory (tenant) ID"; the app also appears in App registrations → All applications.
