# Google Workspace Admin: authorize domain-wide delegation for an API client — Security → Access and data control → API controls → Manage Domain Wide Delegation → Add new

## Steps
1. First, in Google Cloud Console: IAM & Admin → Service Accounts → the service account → "Show advanced settings" to copy its "Client ID" (under Domain-wide delegation).
2. In admin.google.com, sign in as a super admin. Menu → Security → Access and data control → API controls.
3. Click "Manage Domain Wide Delegation".
4. Click "Add new".
5. Paste the service account's Client ID into the "Client ID" field.
6. Enter the comma-separated list of OAuth scopes to grant in the "OAuth scopes" field.
7. Click "Authorize" (if Multi-party approval is enabled, a second super admin must approve before it takes effect).

## End state
The client ID appears listed under Domain Wide Delegation with its granted scopes; the service account can now call Workspace APIs impersonating users without per-user consent.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
