# Google Workspace Admin: set up SSO with a third-party IdP (SAML) — Security → Authentication → SSO with third party IdP → Add SAML profile

## Steps
1. Sign in to admin.google.com with the Security Settings admin privilege.
2. Menu → Security → Authentication → "SSO with third party IdP".
3. In the "Third-party SSO profiles" section, click "Add SAML profile" and enter a profile name.
4. Enter the IdP's "IDP entity ID", "Sign-in page URL", "Sign-out page URL", and optionally a "Change password URL".
5. Click "Upload certificate" and upload the IdP's X.509 PEM certificate (up to two, to allow rotation).
6. Click "Save".
7. In the resulting "SP Details" section, copy the generated "Entity ID" and "ACS URL" to configure on the IdP side.

## End state
The new SAML profile is listed under "Third-party SSO profiles" with its name and the SP Entity ID/ACS URL available for the IdP configuration; the profile must then be assigned to an organizational unit or group to take effect.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
