# Google Workspace Admin: add a custom domain — Account → Domains → Manage domains → Add a domain

## Steps
1. Sign in to admin.google.com as a super admin.
2. Menu → Account → Domains → Manage domains.
3. Click "Add a domain".
4. Enter the domain name, then choose a domain type: "Secondary domain" (to add a separate, fully usable domain) or "User alias domain" (to add email aliases on existing users).
5. Click "Add domain and start verification" and follow the shown method (TXT/CNAME record or HTML file) to verify ownership at your DNS/host provider.
6. Once Google confirms the record, update the domain's MX records to Google's values to route mail.

## End state
The domain shows status "Verified" (and "Email routed" once MX records propagate) in Manage domains.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
