# Google Workspace Admin: add a user — Directory → Users → Add new user

## Steps
1. Sign in to admin.google.com with a super admin account.
2. Menu → Directory → Users.
3. Under "All organizations", select the organizational unit the new account belongs to.
4. Click "Add new user" at the top of the page.
5. Enter the first name, last name, and primary email; optionally set a password, photo, and secondary email.
6. Click "Add new user" to confirm (or "Add and invite" on paths that offer it).

## End state
The new account appears in the Users list under its organizational unit with status "Active"; a one-time password/sign-in link is shown once if auto-generated.
