# Linear: create a custom view — Views (sidebar) → choose type → New view; or Save view icon after filtering

## Steps
1. Click "Views" in the sidebar.
2. Select a view type: Issue, Project, or Initiative.
3. Click "New view".
4. Alternatively, apply at least one filter to any board/list, then click the "Save view" icon next to Display Options (or press Option/Alt+V).

## End state
The view is saved and reusable; from within it, clicking the view name offers "Edit view…" and "Duplicate view..." in the same pop-up menu.
