## Steps
1. Go to the Developer portal, Connections page (app.notion.com/developers/connections).
2. Create a new connection (requires workspace owner status).
3. Open the "Configuration" tab of the connection to retrieve the API token.

The connection is listed in the Developer portal with its secret token retrievable from its Configuration tab; the docs stress never sharing this token and reading it from an environment variable rather than hardcoding it.

The older "internal integration" terminology and the notion.so/my-integrations page are superseded by "connections" at app.notion.com/developers/connections; a separate current doc page (create-a-notion-integration) instead documents a distinct Personal Access Token flow (Developer portal → Personal access tokens → New token), so "integration" now resolves to at least two different current flows depending on which doc page is read.
