# Cloudflare: create a self-hosted Access application — Zero Trust → Access controls → Applications → Create new application

## Steps
1. Dashboard → "Zero Trust" → "Access controls" → "Applications".
2. Select "Create new application".
3. Select "Self-hosted and private".
4. Select "Add public hostname" and configure the domain, access policies, identity providers, and session settings.
5. Select "Create" to finalize.

## End state
The application is listed under Access controls → Applications; requests to the configured hostname now go through Access's login/policy check before reaching the origin.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
