# Cloudflare: add a DNS record — DNS → Records → Add record ## Steps 1. Dashboard → the zone → "DNS Records" page. 2. Select "Add record". 3. Choose a record Type and fill in the required fields (they vary by type). 4. For A/AAAA/CNAME records, decide whether the hostname is proxied through Cloudflare; set TTL and any Comment/Tag. 5. Select "Save". ## End state The record appears listed on the DNS Records page and begins resolving (or, if proxied, routing through Cloudflare) once DNS propagates. Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
