# Google Cloud Console: create a VPC firewall rule — Firewall policies → Create firewall rule

## Steps
1. Go to the "Firewall policies" page.
2. Click "Create firewall rule".
3. Fill in the rule's name, network, direction, action (allow/deny), targets, source/destination filters, and protocols/ports.
4. Save/create the rule.

The rule is listed on the Firewall policies page and is enforced immediately against matching traffic in the chosen VPC network.
