# GitHub: create a repository secret for Actions — repo Settings → Secrets and variables → Actions → New repository secret ## Steps 1. Open the repository → "Settings" tab. 2. In the sidebar, under "Security", click "Secrets and variables", then "Actions". 3. On the "Secrets" tab, click "New repository secret". 4. Enter the secret's name and value, then click "Add secret". ## End state The secret is listed by name (value hidden) on the Actions Secrets tab; a workflow referencing `secrets.<NAME>` can use it without exposing the value in logs. Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
