# GitHub: add a webhook to a repository — repo Settings → Webhooks → Add webhook

## Steps
1. Open the repository → "Settings" tab (use the "..." / More dropdown if the tab isn't visible).
2. In the left sidebar, select "Webhooks".
3. Click "Add webhook".
4. Fill in the Payload URL and Content type, optionally set a secret, choose which events trigger it, confirm it's active, then click "Add webhook".

## End state
The webhook is listed on the repo's Webhooks page; its "Recent Deliveries" tab shows a response/status code for each delivery after a matching event fires.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
