# Stripe: roll a webhook signing secret — Workbench → Webhooks → endpoint → overflow (⋯) → Roll secret

## Steps
1. Dashboard → Workbench → "Webhooks" tab.
2. Click the endpoint whose secret needs rolling.
3. Open the overflow menu (⋯) and click "Roll secret".
4. Choose to expire the current secret immediately, or delay expiration up to 24 hours to migrate the verification code first.

## End state
A new `whsec_...` secret is issued for the endpoint; until the chosen expiration, Stripe signs each delivery once per active secret so both old and new verification code keep working during the overlap.
