# Stripe: create a webhook endpoint — Workbench → Webhooks → Create an event destination ## Steps 1. Dashboard → Workbench → "Webhooks" tab (dashboard.stripe.com/webhooks). 2. Click "Create an event destination". 3. Select "Your account" to listen to events from your own account. 4. Choose the payload format: "Thin" (recommended) or "Snapshot" (also pick the API version for Snapshot). 5. Select the event types to receive. 6. Click "Continue", then select "Webhook endpoint" as the destination type. 7. Click "Continue", provide the Endpoint URL and an optional description. 8. On the webhook settings page, click "Reveal secret" to copy the signing secret (prefix `whsec_`). ## End state The endpoint is listed under Workbench → Webhooks; the "Event deliveries" tab shows Delivered/Pending/Failed as Stripe sends matching events to the URL. ## Moved from Workbench's Webhooks tab replaces the older Developers Dashboard's webhook page; the docs note the old Developers Dashboard page can still create an endpoint but recommend using Workbench. The live Dashboard path differs from the vendor-documentation path in the older record.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
