# Slack: regenerate the Signing Secret — Basic Information → App Credentials → Signing Secret → Regenerate

## Steps
1. Open App Management → select the app → "Basic Information".
2. Under App Credentials, locate "Signing Secret".
3. Click "Regenerate".

## End state
A new Signing Secret value replaces the old one in App Credentials; requests verified against the old secret (HMAC over the raw body) now fail verification and must be switched to the new value.
