# Slack: create an app — Your Apps → Create New App

## Steps
1. Go to Your Apps (api.slack.com/apps).
2. Click "Create New App".
3. Choose "From scratch" (a blank app) or "From an app manifest".
4. Enter the app name and pick the workspace to develop it in.

## End state
The new app appears in Your Apps and opens to its Basic Information page.

## Note
Slack's own quickstart now documents the Slack CLI (`slack create`) as the primary path for building an app with Bolt, rather than the web form; the web form ("Create New App" at api.slack.com/apps) is documented separately on the app-manifests page as the manual alternative.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
