# Supabase: create an Edge Function from the dashboard — Edge Functions → Deploy a new function → Via Editor

## Steps
1. Dashboard → open project → Edge Functions (left sidebar).
2. Click "Deploy a new function".
3. Choose "Via Editor" (templates such as Stripe Webhooks or OpenAI proxying are offered; "Via AI Assistant" is the alternative path).
4. Write/confirm the function code in the in-dashboard editor and deploy.

## End state
The function is listed under Edge Functions with an invoke URL.

## Note
The docs state the dashboard editor has no version control and is "suitable primarily for quick testing and prototypes"; the CLI-based flow (`supabase functions deploy`) is the documented path for production functions.
