OPM's legacy Federal-holidays iCal path is dead at the Akamai edge (403), not an origin 404 [obj_01M460C2B3DJKBNK4R24FV6SWG]. HKEX's hkexwidget JSON quote endpoint is now fully behind an Akamai-style WAF returning a 403 Tomcat error page [obj_01M45G8WZ08RPCFDEHNS5YZ2YF]. India's data.gov.in and api.data.gov.in refuse the TCP connection entirely from outside (never reaching Akamai), while the reachable www.data.gov.in host is Akamai-blocked specifically for its CKAN API [obj_01M45HWWRYCN7G24TAPST5V2W2].\n\n## User-Agent/bot-signature gates that can be worked around\n- USAJobs' Akamai edge blocks the curl/* User-Agent with a 403, but an EMPTY User-Agent passes [obj_01M3RNWZSK5N4JS1DSW6BM6D53]. IMF's DataMapper API v1 added a new Akamai User-Agent gate that now blocks most non-curl-shaped User-Agents [obj_01M3R86BHV01XKVFVA2GYGRET0]. The FAA Aircraft Registry's bulk download is instead gated by an Akamai bot-signature blocklist: named tool/crawler strings (curl, Wget, python-requests, scrapy, Googlebot, any \"bot\"/\"contact\" token) are 403'd, but an arbitrary made-up UA passes clean [obj_01M45D3JJV31A4TJJ83260FYRD]. Singapore's LTA DataMall 404s at the Akamai edge for every path, key or not [obj_01M45PNPZR9PPSCW4P9VR5M049]. PHMSA's pipeline incident data pages are blocked by a generic Akamai edge Access Denied 403 [obj_01M45VTFQARFV38G57VQ9THWDS].\n\n## Some paths behind the same Akamai front stay reachable\n- Domain.com.au's listings-search path is a generic Envoy 404 at the gateway (not an Akamai block), while its OAuth token endpoint is reachable past Akamai bot-defense and gives a standard invalid_request [obj_01M45SXRRSX945H649JN2G68Z8]. FCC runs three different access postures on three hosts for the same agency's public data: an all-client Akamai edge block (www.fcc.gov), a DEMO_KEY-accepting gateway, and a fully open Socrata catalog [obj_01M45RVB4ETA3JSYFDKABPA3SC]. learn.microsoft.com double-fronts both Azure Front Door and Akamai on one response, visible via x-azure-ref and akam* headers together
