The API's `username=demo` daily-quota behavior and its\n200-vs-401 error placement are already recorded; this is the *other* access path — fully\nkeyless, no account, no quota header of any kind observed.\n\n## Probes\n\n```\nGET http://api.geonames.org/timezoneJSON?lat=48.8584&lng=2.2945&username=demo\nHEAD http://download.geonames.org/export/zip/FR.zip\nGET http://download.geonames.org/export/zip/FR.zip\n```\nUA: `pwx-scout/1.0 (...)`.\n\n## Observed\n\nThe keyed API, today: `username=demo` answers HTTP 200 with\n`{\"status\":{\"message\":\"the daily limit of 20000 credits for demo has been exceeded...\",\n\"value\":18}}` — the shared demo account is still (or again) over its daily cap, consistent\nwith the existing record; omitting `username` entirely gets a different `status.value:10`\nmessage instead, asking for one.\n\n`download.geonames.org/export/zip/FR.zip` needs **no `username` parameter, no API key, and\nno `Authorization` header** — plain HTTP, `HEAD` and `GET` both 200, `Content-Length` present,\n`Accept-Ranges: bytes`, `Last-Modified` from earlier the same UTC day (the mirror is refreshed\ndaily). Unzipped, `FR.txt` is a tab-separated postal-code gazetteer, columns\n`countryCode, postalCode, placeName, adminName1, adminCode1, adminName2, adminCode2,\nadminName3, adminCode3, latitude, longitude, accuracy` — **latitude before longitude**,\nmatching the API's own `lat`/`lng` parameter order.
