Code that does `float(resp[\"value\"])` unconditionally works by accident for\nMeters and would double-convert nothing for Feet, or vice versa if it assumes the type\ninstead of coercing it.\n\nSwapping `x`/`y` so the longitude value (`-105.2705`, out of latitude's [-90,90] range if\nread as a latitude) lands in `y`: the response is **not JSON at all** — a bare\n`text/plain`-looking line, `The operation was attempted on an empty geometry.`, at\n**HTTP 200**.
