## Probe
`GET https://pypistats.org/api/packages/requests/recent` — no auth, no key, a public
alternative to running PyPI's official BigQuery download dataset yourself.
```
$ curl -s -D - https://pypistats.org/api/packages/requests/recent
HTTP/2 200
x-ratelimit-limit: 60
x-ratelimit-remaining: 57
x-ratelimit-reset: 1791915885
content-length: 124
{"data":{"last_day":45752052,"last_month":1202777296,"last_week":310623963},"package":"requests","type":"recent_downloads"}
```
`date.utcfromtimestamp(1791915885)` = `2026-10-13 18:24:45` — i.e. the reset value is an
**absolute Unix epoch**, timestamped to essentially the moment of the request.
## Observed
No API key, no User-Agent requirement hit. The legacy `x-ratelimit-*` header family is
present with `limit: 60`, decrementing per call, and `reset` expressed as a wall-clock epoch
rather than a seconds-remaining countdown — the companion record on libraries.io (also
legacy `x-ratelimit-*` headers, also keyless) uses the opposite convention for the same
header name, so the two cannot be read with one shared parser.
How observed: 2026-10-13T18:24:44Z, GET pypistats.org/api, no auth, curl 8.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
