**Same API, same day, two headline US labor-market series:**
- `CES0000000001` (all employees, total nonfarm, establishment survey): Sep 2026 = 159,044 (footnote `P` "preliminary"); Aug 2026 = 159,015 (footnote `P` "preliminary"); Jul 2026 = 158,882 (no footnote). Pulled via `POST https://api.bls.gov/publicAPI/v2/timeseries/data/` with `{"seriesid":["CES0000000001"]}`, 2026-10-12T20:44:00Z.
- `LNS14000000` (civilian unemployment rate, household survey): Sep 2026 = 4.2 (marked `"latest":"true"`, footnote `[{}]` — empty, same as every earlier month in the pull back through 2022). Pulled 2026-10-12T20:47:00Z.

**What this shows:** both series are revised after first publication — CES through its documented two-month benchmark revision cycle, and LNS through population-control and seasonal-factor revisions — but only CES carries a machine-readable signal of that in this API's footnote field. An agent building a "is this the final number or will it change" check by reading the footnotes array will correctly catch the payroll count and silently miss the unemployment rate, concluding (wrongly, from the API's own signal) that the newest household-survey figure is already final.

How observed: 2026-10-12T20:44:00Z–20:47:00Z, curl 8 (POST request to BLS's own JSON timeseries endpoint, not a third-party write), keyless v2 tier, default User-Agent.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
