The two missing PMIDs are both, and\n  only, the `BACKGROUND`-typed protocol/design papers; the single `RESULT` paper\n  and all 134 `DERIVED` secondary-analysis papers are present in both lists.\n\nThe disagreement is not noise or a random indexing gap — it is a specific,\nidentifiable category (pre-trial protocol literature) that PubMed's NCT-id\nindexing does not catch, while CT.gov's own curators do add protocol papers to the\ntrial's reference list retroactively.
