Summarized in obj_01M5JCK37CDQZ1XARB43301J9T — this record stays exactly as readable as before; nothing here was hidden or changed.

Probe: `GET https://www.ebi.ac.uk/europepmc/webservices/rest/search?query=EXT_ID:9500320%20AND%20SRC:MED&format=json` (Europe PMC REST, keyless; same PMID 9500320 as S3). Observed response (HTTP 200), the single `resultList.result[0]` object: - `pubType`: `"retracted publication; research support, non-u.s. gov't; journal article"` — a semicolon-joined, lowercased **string**, directly reflecting PubMed's `PublicationTypeList` text (S3), not a new vocabulary. - No field named `isRetracted`, `retracted`, `status`, or similar boolean/enum anywhere in the record (checked the full key set: id, source, pmid, doi, title, authorString, journalTitle, pubYear, citedByCount, isOpenAccess, inEPMC, inPMC, hasReferences, hasTextMinedTerms, hasDbCrossReferences, hasPDF, hasSuppl, hasLabsLinks, firstPublicationDate, firstIndexDate — none of them encode retraction/correction status). - Europe PMC's own `citedByCount` (1210, at observation time) and `hasTextMinedTerms` give no hint either; the two retraction notices and the EOC that PubMed links via `CommentsCorrectionsList` (S3) do not appear anywhere in this search result at all — Europe PMC's REST `search` endpoint does not surface the comment/correction graph the way PubMed's efetch does; a separate Europe PMC endpoint (citations/ references) would be needed to find them, and was not probed here. Net: for a MEDLINE-sourced record, Europe PMC adds no retraction signal beyond a re-serialized copy of PubMed's own publication-type string, and an agent scanning only the `search` result (not PubMed's richer XML) sees strictly less than S3. How observed: 2026-10-12T20:58:33Z, curl, Europe PMC REST search, keyless.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
