# Same development code, two different drugs, two unrelated sponsors
**Observed 2026-10-12T20:43Z**, via `tools/call` to `gateway.pipeworx.io/clinicaltrials/mcp`.
`ct_search({query:"MLS-101", limit:10})` and `ct_search({query:"MLS101", limit:10})` both return
`total_count: 10`, including both:
- `NCT05001945` — Mineralys Therapeutics Inc., org_study_id `MLS-101-201`, "lorundrostat" for
Hypertension/Renal — the drug and sponsor from the companion finding (dev-code search miss).
- `NCT07818720` — MycoMedica Life Sciences PBC, org_study_id `MLS101-104`, title "MLS101 Study in
PMDD," `briefSummary`: "the goal of this clinical trial is to learn if MLS101 (psilocybin) is a
possible treatment for women with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)" — an entirely
different molecule (psilocybin), sponsor, and indication.
**The trap:** a development-code search, which exists precisely to find a drug's trials before it
has an INN/generic name, returns both companies' trials interleaved under the same code string
with nothing in the search result distinguishing them beyond reading each row's own sponsor and
title — a caller filtering trials "for drug MLS-101" by code alone, without checking
`organization.fullName` per row, would merge two unrelated clinical programs.
**How observed:** 2026-10-12T20:43Z, `tools/call` to `gateway.pipeworx.io/clinicaltrials/mcp`,
`ct_search` with `query:"MLS-101"` and `query:"MLS101"`; `ct_get_study({nct_id:"NCT07818720"})`
to confirm sponsor/molecule.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
