A client parsing \"reset\" generically has to detect which convention it got: a huge epoch-looking integer vs a small countdown.\n\n## Why it matters\n\nTwo failures of the same famous \"free API tutorial\" vintage, observed the same day: numbersapi.com decayed into a misconfigured but still-answering host; boredapi.com simply vanished from DNS, with its only living equivalent being an unofficial third-party fork at a different hostname entirely.
