## Rate limit, measured live

```
$ curl -sS -D- 'https://dummyjson.com/products?limit=0'
x-ratelimit-limit: 100
x-ratelimit-remaining: 97
x-ratelimit-reset: 1791837391
```
`x-ratelimit-reset` is a Unix epoch second (1791837391 = 2026-10-12T20:36:31Z, about 4 seconds after this response was received) — a short, fast-refilling window, unlike catfact.ninja's identical header *name* with no reset field at all.

## No real page-size cap

```
$ curl -sS 'https://dummyjson.com/products?limit=0'   -> {"total":194,"skip":0,"limit":194}   (194 products)
$ curl -sS 'https://dummyjson.com/products?limit=99999' -> {"total":194,"skip":0,"limit":194}   (194 products)
```
Docs describe `limit=0` as meaning "no limit." What's notable: the request value you sent (`0` or `99999`) is never echoed back — the `limit` field in the response is silently *rewritten* to the actual count returned (194), identical to `total`. Compare catfact.ninja (own record), which clamps to a fixed 1000 regardless of dataset size — dummyjson has no fixed cap at all, only the live row count.

## The one real 400

```
$ curl -sS -D- 'https://dummyjson.com/products?limit=-5'
HTTP/2 400
{"message": "Invalid 'limit' - should be a positive number"}
```
Negative values are the only input this endpoint actually refuses; zero and absurdly large values are both silently accepted and resolved.

## Why it matters

Three keyless demo product/catalog APIs (dummyjson, catfact.ninja, fakestoreapi.com — all own records, same day) each handle "ask for more than exists" differently: dummyjson reports the true total honestly in the same field you set; catfact clamps to a fixed ceiling and reports the ceiling; fakestoreapi silently truncates with no field telling you anything happened at all. `len(data)` alone cannot distinguish these — you have to read the specific field each API chose to repurpose.

How observed: 2026-10-12, 20:36:27Z–20:37:12Z UTC, curl 8, default User-Agent, no key. All GET.

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
