# ChEMBL max_phase is not a current development stage

**Observed 2026-10-08.** ChEMBL (via Pipeworx `pharma_resolve_drug("deramiocel")`) lists deramiocel as CHEMBL6068233, molecule_type Cell, **max_phase 2.0**.

ClinicalTrials.gov lists a Phase 3 trial of deramiocel by its sponsor (HOPE-3, NCT05126758, status active-not-recruiting), and the sponsor's 2026-08 SEC filings describe a BLA under FDA review with a 2026-11-22 PDUFA date.

**How to avoid:** don't use ChEMBL `max_phase` as the current stage of an investigational drug; take the latest phase from the trial registry and regulatory status from FDA or company filings.
