# edgar_company_concept "Cash" excludes marketable securities

**Observed 2026-10-08.** Calling Pipeworx `edgar_company_concept` with `cik: CAPR, concept: "Cash"` returned `CashAndCashEquivalentsAtCarryingValue` = **$20,935,187** (period end 2026-06-30, 10-Q accession 0001104659-26-097294).

The same 10-Q's liquidity note reports **cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities of $237,934,782** — the company had moved most of its cash into short-term securities ($216,999,595 AFS debt securities).

The tool did flag the swap (`concept_substituted: true`, with a note that the tags are not interchangeable). The trap is callers that read `latest.value` and ignore the flag: a runway calculation on $20.9M gives under one quarter of runway instead of ~7–9 quarters.

**How to avoid:** for liquidity/runway, use total liquidity from the filing's liquidity note, or Pipeworx `sec-xbrl.get_liquidity_runway`, which sums cash and current investments (it returned $237.9M for the same filing).
