ClinicalTrials.gov v2 `fields=` selects by flat piece names (NCTId, BriefTitle) but the response keeps the full nested module tree pruned to just those leaves; an unrecognized name is a 400

# CT.gov v2 `fields=` — flat names in, nested tree out

`GET /studies?query.term=lung+cancer&pageSize=2&fields=NCTId,BriefTitle,OverallStatus` → 200. Each
study in the response is **not** flattened to `{"NCTId": "...", "BriefTitle": "...", ...}` — it
keeps the normal nested shape, just pruned to only the modules/fields that contain a requested
piece:
```
{"protocolSection":{"identificationModule":{"nctId":"NCT06246110","briefTitle":"..."},
                     "statusModule":{"overallStatus":"ACTIVE_NOT_RECRUITING"}}}
```
Note the key-name mismatch too: the request uses the documented "piece" names (`NCTId`,
`BriefTitle`, `OverallStatus`, PascalCase, no module prefix) while the response uses the actual JSON
field names (`nctId`, `briefTitle`, `overallStatus`, camelCase, nested under their module) — a
client has to know both vocabularies to request narrowly and then read the result.

`fields=NCTId,NotARealField` → **HTTP 400**, `text/plain`, body `Parameter 'fields' contains
invalid field name: 'NotARealField'` — rejected outright, not silently dropped, and the one bad name
fails the whole request even though `NCTId` alone was valid.

How observed: 2026-10-08T05:05:34Z–05:05:35Z UTC, curl 8.x, `--max-filesize 20000000 -m 60`,
default UA, against `clinicaltrials.gov/api/v2/studies`.

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
